We all looked forward to the weekends as kids. Means no school, activities, cartoons and probably donuts Saturday or Sunday morning. I'm an East Coast guy and for us it was Dunkin. My dad would get munchkins, Boston Cream and Apple Spice donuts. Can never go wrong with a Boston Cream. However, donuts was reserved for the weekend, never during the week and didn't happen every weekend. So as an adult, it's donuts whenever I want lol.
I found this spot called Mazzoa Donuts in Vegas a couple years ago just driving down Blue Diamond Road deciding what I wanted to it. Apparently, it was donuts because I pulled into this parking lot like Jeff Gordon pulling into pit row. It's a smaller spot, but the selection has to be 30+ donuts. Usually, it's 1 max 2 people working the counter and they just pump out orders. I usually opt for a dz donuts because its only $12.00, unless you get a massive cinnabun or apple fritter then its on like a buck or two more. Single donuts are about $1.20-$1.50 each. If you buy a dozen donuts they also through a bunch of donut holes in the box as well. Can't go wrong with that !!! My go too donuts usual are Boston Cream, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Long John, Lemon Kurd, Apple Fritter, Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Glazed. Those are always the main stays then I just build from there and will select anything else that looks good. In addition you have to get a Pig In A Blanket and Kolache. They are just good for the soul.
Donuts remind you of simpler times, that's why I eat them so much lol. Mazzoa is my go to spot in Vegas, it's better then Pink Box, Coco's and all the other big name shops. Mazzoa is a small seems family run joint that cranks out great donuts at a good price and everyone is always super nice. Get over to Mozzoa Donuts and this support local small business.
