So 2020 really wasn't Jordan Spieth's year. He participated in 17 Tournaments. In those 17 starts he made 14 cuts, had three Top 10 finishes, four Top 35 finishes and seven finishes outside the Top 40. That ranked him 78th on the money list, only (lol) bringing in $1,138,146.00. Since 2013 his lowest rank on the money list was 51st and that was in 2019. So needless to say 2019, was the preview of a rough 2020 for Jordan.
I think we all assumed Jordan would snap out of this slump he's been in. Everyone thought 2021, was going to be their year and I'm sure Spieth was in the same frame of mind. Jordan is coming into 2021 strong !!!! Waste Management, he was in the hunt all weekend. Had a couple hiccups but still finished in 4th. He hits Pebble Beach next, playing great golf and finishing 3rd. Now hes at the Genesis Open currently in 12th. Jordan has already made over $700,000.00 in two starts this year. Already has two Top 10 finishes, one off his total for 2020 in 17 starts. He's playing confident and smart golf.
It's nice to see someone like Jordan overcome a rough 2019 and 2020. Kicking down the door to 2021 like a champion. He didn't dwell on a couple rough years. Improved his mindset, execution and passion. If he continues the pace he's on, the rest of the tour should be very nervous. Especially, if he is this hot heading into the Masters in less than 60 days. I personally hope Spieth keeps this up, because it shows his dedication and work ethic to get back on top.
