As you all know, I wanted to start featuring small businesses every week on the blog. Barstool Sports, brought a lot of attention to small businesses and it has inspired me to do my part. Last week, we featured BDB Coffee a craft coffee brand out of Texas. This week we are featuring the homies Bill & Ryan and their restaurants Rogue Island a APizza History. They run two straight up delicious spots in Rhode Island. The focus is on local ingredients and craft beers. They take those wonderful local ingredients and elevate them into something that makes your mouth water.
As we talked about Bill & Ryan love highlighting fresh local ingredients. They are a scratch kitchen and produce it all in a kitchen big enough for 2 people. Rhode Island and near by Massachusetts have a growing craft beer scene. These guys have chose to work with some of the best. They don't only feature these local breweries on their menu, but take Rogue Island to them. In addition to their two brick and mortar locations they have @RogueOnTheRhode. A food truck that specializes in what you want when drinking beer. Killer, innovative and fun sandwiches and smaller bites. When hitting up @RogueIsland you have to check out their rotating beer list always have killer local brews and their Aquidneck Farms Grass Fed Burger. Can you really go wrong with a burger and a pint ???
They have been crushing away @RogueIsland for 8 years and a year ago opened up APizza History. They continue to grow their business and do whatever they can to help the community. During the pandemic they wanted to give back to everyone working to keep their city and state safe. So they went to work, rolling dough and firing up those ovens. When it was all said and done they fired off 400+ pizzas to local first responders. Covid changed everyone's life, but these guys used the time to give back and refine their business. Focusing on take out and providing a great experience to all their patrons. They are what small business is all about, keeping their staff working and safe, giving back to first responders, supporting their fellow small business owners and just being two great dudes.
